ABOUT THE DESIGNER:
VEJA is founded on an ethical footing at every stage of the business: from sourcing and the production cycle, right through to packaging, distribution and even the energy the company’s French headquarters use. They work with a collective of rubber tappers for the wild rubber latex used in their soles. There shoes are made of and lined with pesticide-, GMO- and fertilizer-free organic cotton canvas and low-chrome and/or vegetable tanned leathers, and the final products are then assembled in Brazilian fair trade factories. Simply, they have managed to connect the dots of sustainable production to create a great sneaker.
